Hi, I’m Kathleen. I can’t wait to meet you!

Natural light photographer based in Virginia Beach, VA.

If you're looking for a laid-back, fun, and detail-oriented photographer, you've come to the right place. I can't wait to meet you!

I love photographing young adults and women entrepreneurs because I get the opportunity to give them an experience that helps them internalize their true internal and external beauty.

The best part is being on-site, giving my clients an experience that lifts them up. I provide images that portray my clients not as over photoshopped plastic dolls, but rather as the best versions of their true selves and/or their brands. Plus, seniors and go-getter women are just a blast to hang out with.

A peek into my life

I was born and raised in Virginia Beach. I met the man of my dreams in high school; I just didn’t know it yet. After four years at William & Mary [he went to Penn State], he and I reconnected as graduate students at UVA, and the rest is history. We tied the knot in Va Beach in 2011 and welcomed our daughter, Emerson, in 2014 and our son, Kevin, in 2016. Now that the kids are getting older we’re excited to go on adventures together. The picture to the left is in Banff Canada. It was the kid’s first time leaving the country and they loved it!

Fun Facts About Me

It’s like we’re besties already…

  • I have been teaching high school English and Journalism for 18 years!

  • I’m kindof obsessed with plants. Indoor plants, outdoor plants, plants that live outside in the summer and inside in the winter. My family loves to garden together. We are particularly proud of our lemon tree (lovingly referred to as Lemmie), our brussel sprouts, and our edamame.

  • Take me out for sushi and we can be friends forever. Dragon roll please!

  • I didn’t start drinking coffee until I was 41 (yeah, last year). I take it black.

  • I may not have the body I had when I was 18, but I don’t care. Bathing suit weather please. I am not a fan of the cold.
